Redness, itching, or burning is a reason to wash with plain water, stop using the product, and seek care if it continues. Do not cover a reaction with another product.

Match the lubricant to the material
Some lubricants damage some materials. Read both labels. If you use condoms, the condom material sets a rule too.
Oil, silicone, and water-based products are not interchangeable. If the label is silent, do not improvise.
Cleaning is part of body safety
Follow the maker's wash and dry steps. A material you cannot clean is a poor fit for a minimal kit.
